University of Navarra professor Andrew Breeze will give a plenary session on "language and society in the 5th century" at congress to be held at the British Museum on March 13-14, 2010 at degree scroll "AD 410: The End of Roman Britain".
The initiative will bring together more than 20 international speakers from the fields of history, archaeology and Philology to commemorate the 1,600th anniversary of the withdrawal of the Roman Empire from Britain. Experts will address topics such as linguistics, numismatics and documentary evidence.
Andrew Breeze, of the department of Hispanic Linguistics and Modern Languages at the University of Navarra, is the author of 4 books and over 400 articles on the language and literature of the British Isles in the British Age average.
