The aim is to coordinate and finance the expenses of registration of 300 young pharmacist volunteers from all Spanish universities, collaborating with the National Organization of WYD Health Volunteers. "In this way," explains the former student, "the cooperative fulfills its mission statement for the pharmacist's professional development , attending to their training, employment opportunities, communication, cooperation, social participation, etc."
The directive, which will present this initiative at 3:30 pm at classroom 10 of the Science Library building, recalls that "it is necessary to convey to society the message that the pharmacist has an irreplaceable role in the patient's health care, along with the doctor and the nurse. Hence, young pharmacists should not be absent in the organization and primary care of this event of worldwide interest".
The activity is open to all 4th, 5th and 6th grade students, as well as students from Master's Degree and doctorate. In total, 20,000 young people are expected to participate as volunteers in WYD.
