Cristina Garbayo, from high school Nuestra Señora del Huerto, wins the IV History Olympiad of Navarre.
59 students from 15 schools in the region participated in the competition organized by the University.

The student Cristina Garbayo, 2nd year student of high school diploma of the high school Nuestra Señora del Huerto (Pamplona), has obtained the first award of the IV Navarre History Olympiad; organized annually by the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra. The second and third award went to Yago Navarro, from high school Luis Amigó (Mutilva), and Janire Rey, from Liceo Monjardín (Pamplona), respectively.
In this edition of the competition a total of 59 students of 4th of ESO, 1st and 2nd of high school diploma from 15 schools in Navarra participated. In the final test , the students had to answer -either in Spanish, Basque or English- the question 'The Russian Revolution: from the thesis of April to the Peace of Brest-Litovsk'.
In addition, 3 runners-up prizes were awarded: to Marta Iraola, from high school Nuestra Señora del Huerto; Álvaro Ranz, from Liceo Monjardín; and Ioana Echarri, from high school Santa María la Real-Maristas (Sarriguren).
The students who participated in this fourth edition of the Olympiad belong to different schools and institutes of Pamplona: high school San Cernin, Calasanz-Escolapios, Miravalles-El Redín, Irabia-Izaga, IES Julio Caro Baroja, IES place de la Cruz, Liceo Monjardín, Nuestra Señora del Huerto, Santo Tomás (Dominicas) and Claret Larraona. Also present were high school Luis Amigó from Mutilva, Santa María la Real (Maristas) from Sarriguren, IES Marqués de Villena from Marcilla, IES Pablo Sarasate from Lodosa and IESO Mendaur DBHI from Santesteban.
The History Olympiad is co-organized by the History, Art History and Geography department of History, History of Art and Geography of the University of Navarra; and the Society of programs of study Historical Society of Navarra (SEHN). The organizing committee of experts is made up of secondary school teachers, as well as representatives of the University of Navarra and the SEHN. sponsorship It also has the support of Alianza publishing house, Troa Librerías, Diario de Navarra and the Chair of language y Cultura Vasca of the University of Navarra.
