The University has been admitted as partner of the New European Bauhaus initiative along with 200 other European entities, companies and universities.

The New European Bauhaus is a project of the European Commission that aims to turn the European Green Pact into a shared, positive and tangible experience. Through it, it brings together institutions, agencies, governments, public and private companies and experts interested in sharing projects, ideas and experiences that contribute to achieving better environments for coexistence, especially after the pandemic. Its three core values are: sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion.

"Being partners of the New European Bauhaus provides the opportunity to participate, together with European experts - from universities and other entities - in forums of thought, discussion and dialogue in which our professors, researchers and experts have much to contribute. It is also a good opportunity to develop a joint and interdisciplinary work at the European level," commented Cristina Muñoz Corsini, director of the Planning Service and design of Campus of the University of Navarra.

In addition, with the goal to collect experiences and initiatives aligned with the objectives of this movement, the I edition of the New European Bauhaus Awards has been convened in which the University of Navarra participates with four projects: the Degree of design, the Master's Degree in design and management Environmental Buildings, the design of the Campus of the University and the University Museum of Navarra.

The four projects were among the 60 finalists, selected from more than 2,000 entries submitted. "The awards reward and celebrate achievements and help the younger generation to continue to develop new concepts and ideas. They give visibility to examples and concepts that illustrate the beautiful, sustainable and inclusive places that exist in our territories, in our communities and in our practices and pave the way for the future," the organization explains.
