Pedagogy students from the University of Navarra and senior citizens discuss autobiography as a social tool report
The VIII Cycle of Intergenerational Forums on Social Participation, organized by Caja Rural and the academic center, kicks off
The University of Navarra and Caja Rural have launched the VIII edition of the cycle of Intergenerational Forums of Social Participation, whose goal is promote the meeting between seniors and students of Pedagogy of the academic center. On this occasion, the meetings will focus on "Autobiography as a social report to guide the future of society".
The conference began at the Golem Yamaguchi cinemas with the screening of the film Tasio (1984), by director Montxo Armendáriz from Navarre, and with a subsequent colloquium in which university students and seniors discussed their own autobiographies and the social values and counter-values they contain.
"Throughout this cycle we will study in more detail some of these values and counter-values that come from the personal circumstances of two different eras. With this exchange between young and old, we will try to review the achievements and mistakes of the past to analyze the present status of general crisis and formulate proposals for improvement for the future," says Carmen Urpí, professor at department of Education of the University of Navarra.
The rest of the sessions, which will be attended by representatives of different associations of senior citizens and pensioners' clubs, will take place on November 2 and 23 at auditorium de la residency program La Vaguada.
