200 cancer experts from all over the world meet at the II congress International Frontiers in Oncology
The meeting has been organized by the Clinic and the CIMA of the University of Navarra in partnership with the high school of Stanford Cancer (USA).
Nearly 200 researchers from around the world met from October 5-7, at the II congress International Frontiers in Oncology. The symposium focused on"The present and future of the RAS pathway: from genomic function to inhibition".
The RAS oncogenes are closely related to the appearance and development of some of the most widespread types of cancer. "An oncogene is a gene that average in the appearance of tumors and where we think one of the keys to fighting cancer may lie", explains Dr. Ignacio Gil Bazo, co-director of department of Oncology of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and one of the organizers of the international event.
The scientific meeting , which took place at the Museum of the University of Navarra, was organized by the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, the research center Applied Medicine (CIMA), both integrated in the high school of research Sanitaria de Navarra (IDISNA), and the high school of Stanford Cancer of the United States.
