The University received more than 1100 visitors alumni at campus on the occasion of Alumni Weekend.

On Saturday, October 5, the campus of Pamplona of the University of Navarra was the point of meeting of more than 1100 alumni returning to the classrooms. The event was attended by people from more than 50 countries around the world who were students from Schools of Architecture, Sciences, Medicine, Communication, Law, Economics and Business, Nursing, Education and Psychology, Philosophy and Letters and Pharmacy and Nutrition. In addition, the association of Friends of the University was also present at the event. 

Each School opened its doors to welcome their alumni and show them how the University has changed over the years. In addition, several professors joined the quotation to relive with the attendees their years of class. 

The general celebration was held at sports center, where all Schools gathered. Íñigo Gutiérrez (TECNUN'98), director of the Alumni office welcomed the attendees. Inés García Paine (COM'93), president of the alumni office, then joined the meeting to comment on the news that the University has for its alumni. In addition, Teo Peñarroja, publisher of Nuestro Tiempo Magazine, took the stage to speak briefly about the 70th anniversary of the magazine and how it has changed over the years. 

Then, the president, María Iraburu (BIO'87) and the president of the association of Friends, Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero (COM'84) held a conversation under the topic "The future of the University" in which Isabel Olloqui (COM'96), director of the Service of development participated as moderator. In it, María Iraburu explained to the attendees that: "thinking about the future, there are two things that are of interest for the sustainability of project: the people who form the University and finding those places where new things are being done to make their own contributions to society with the humanistic touch of the University".

In addition to this, Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero pointed out the fundamental role of the association de Amigos in achieving this goal: "No matter how much strength someone has, without friends they are not going anywhere. Since 1960, the association of Friends has sought to support the project University of Navarra and allow it to continue to grow".

The event concluded with a small tribute to the graduating class of 1974, alumni , who celebrated 50 years since their graduation.
 

meeting XXV Tecnun Anniversary

The campus of San Sebastian joined the celebration by gathering more than 60 alumni of the School of Engineering on the occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the graduating class of 1999. 

The alumni gathered there enjoyed a workshop in which they were able to return to the classrooms, workshops, as well as reunite with their classmates. During the main event they connected with the campus of Pamplona to listen to the intervention of María Iraburu and Alfonso Sanchez-Tabernero. To finish the workshop the alumni could enjoy a meal with their class.
