Companies from Navarra and Spain in the bio-health sector are participating in the Healthcare Career Weeks(HCW), conference , a training program that brings students from the University of Navarra closer to the professional world. On November 6, more than 150 students from Degree and Master's Degree of the academic center participated in the Recruiting Day, framed in these conference, to discover professional opportunities and conduct interviews of work to obtain internships and employment.
As explained by the Internship Service and employment of the University of Navarra, organizer of the event, it is essential that during the last years of Degree or during Master's Degree students can approach the professional world. "They financial aid hear first-hand testimonials from alumni with diverse career paths to help them decide what they want to do," explains María Zarranz, manager Internships and employment at School Pharmacy and Nutrition. Cristina Ibiricu, manager of Internships and employment at School of Sciences, adds: "It is a great opportunity to find out what companies are looking for and what skills candidates can improve before applying to a selection process".

Companies such as Florette, Viscofan and VIVEbiotech participated in the Recruiting Day. VIVEbiotech to interview students from different Degrees and masters of the University. "These events serve to connect the university and the business world and show students all the possibilities they have, regardless of the degree program they are, as several of the participating companies want to meet profiles from all over subject", says Alfonso Vericat, director of the Internship Service and employment. Informative sessions have also been held with Ardena, high school Official Dieticians and Nutritionists of Navarra (CODINNA), high school Official Pharmacists of Navarra (COFNA), EATEX Food Innovation Hub, Navarra Health Cluster and Nestlé.
Connect with alumni
The HCW, which began on November 4 and will last until November 14, includes meetings with alumni of different professional profiles working in companies and entities such as Centro Nacional de Tecnología y Seguridad Alimentaria (CNTA), Cinfa, Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Geiser Pharma, group Ausolan, Hospital Universitario de Navarra and Nutriratxe. Sessions have also been organized with doctoral students from the University of Navarra and with residents from different specialties of spanish pharmacy residency program , who will tell their experience of preparation and how is their day to day.
Finally, students at Degree and Master's Degree can also attend attend intensive employability sessions at training . Among other issues, they are taught how to prepare a resume, how to search for internships and employment, and how to successfully face selection processes.
