The Chair of business Volkswagen Navarra-University of Navarra publishes a commemorative book
The alliance between the two entities has given rise to some one hundred joint research projects.
Under the degree scroll Volkswagen Navarra-University of Navarra. A reality that moves forward, the Chair of business has published a commemorative book that collects the main milestones since it began its activity in 2000. Under the auspices of what was then called Chair de Calidad Volkswagen Navarra-Universidad de Navarra, more than one hundred research projects have been carried out at area of management on quality, more than fifty scientific articles and knowledge dissemination have been published, and nine doctoral theses have been defended thesis .
In the field of professor, through the Schools of Medicine, Economics and the School of Engineering, more than 2,400 students have received training based on a basic principle: continuous improvement as the driving force to achieve excellence.
Carlos Sainz, "godfather" of a new stage
Edited by Ricardo Mateo, professor of the School of Economics and member of the committee of the Chair, and María Carbó, graduate of the School of Communication, the volume will be given as a gift during the presentation of the Chair of business Volkswagen Navarra-University of Navarra, to be held on March 16 at the classroom Magna of the Central Building. The event will be attended by Carlos Sainz, rally driver; Francisco García Sanz, member of the executive committee of group Volkswagen; Yolanda Barcina, president of the Government of Navarra; and the President of the University of Navarra, Ángel J. Gómez-Montoro.
After twelve years focused on quality and partnership with multinational companies such as Bosch-Siemens, SKF, Guardian, Thomson Reuters, Kayaba, Schneider and Bonduelle, the book presents the first steps of the new stage of the Chair of business Volkswagen Navarra-University of Navarra. With the purpose of promote excellence in all aspects of organizations, the Chair will delve into areas of research as motivation systems, compensation, incentives and involvement; the organizational Structures , the environment of work and its influence on the productivity of people; the new logistical concepts; the ergonomic-medical aspect of work and its influence on health, among others.
