The group of research TrentUN, of the School of Theology of the University of Navarra, celebrated on May 7 an Academic workshop centered on "Trent in the Hispanic world. Individual, social and cultural renewal".
The meeting was structured in five sessions. position The first, entitled "1622 or the canonization of the Catholic Reformation", was given by Fermín Labarga, professor at the University of Navarra and main researcher of group. Macarena Cordero, from the Universidad de los Andes, gave the second of the papers, centered on "Manifestations of religious practices and behaviors of the laity in the kingdom of Chile. Normativity and regulation". Joaquín Sedano, professor at the University of Navarra, took the floor in the third lecture to explain the "Pragmatic canonical literature related to clandestine marriage in Ibero-America in the 16th-18th centuries".
The fourth of the presentations, entitled "The visit pastoral, an instrument for the Tridentine reform", was given by Ana de Zaballa, from the University of the Basque Country. And finally, the workshop was closed by Pilar Latasa, professor at the University of Navarra, who spoke on "Trent in the Andes: from the Synod of La Paz in 1638 to the ecclesiastical visit ".
