The Philosophy is not "obsolete".
New issue of yearbook Filosófico, the magazine of the department de Philosophy
The magazine yearbook Philosophical has published the third issue of 2014 (47-3), thus completing the year's Issue which includes two previous issues on causality, nature and freedom (47-1) and the categories (47-2). This issue, unlike the two preceding ones, is miscellaneous in nature and includes six interesting contributions of international scope.
The first four programs of study focus on contemporary thought. First, Clara Ramas San Miguel (Madrid, Spain) offers a reflection on the dialogue between Heidegger and Jünger articulated around the topic of technique. Jorge Peña Vial (Santiago de Chile, Chile) with the degree scroll "Life demands to be narrated" presents a work that intends to continue Paul Ricoeur's thought. The third work, signed by Jordi Cabos (Bremen, Germany), approaches Schopenhauer's thought from the point of view of suffering and individuality. This block of contemporary thought closes with the interpretation by Manfred Svensson (Santiago de Chile, Chile) of Kierkegaard's ideas on the subjectivity of truth.
Together with these programs of study of contemporary thinkers (Heidegger, Ricoeur, Schopenhauer and Kierkegaard) this issue presents two programs of study that make reference letter to medieval thought: Fernando G. Martin De Blassi (Mendoza, Argentina) addresses the analysis of Thomas Aquinas on acedia and tedium; Manuel Lazaro (Porto, Portugal) for his part raises the harmonious relationship between Philosophy and theology in the philosophical naturalism of the twelfth century.
A total of sixteen reviews of recently published books from Philosophy , as well as a list of bibliographic novelties and the acceptance and rejection statistics of this Issue complete the Issue . The article acceptance statistics for 2014 were: 46 articles received; 13 accepted (28%), 27 rejected (59%) and 6 (13%) subject to improvement.
