Fundamental Morals' and 'Theology of the mission statement', new volumes in the ISCR Manuals collection of the University of Navarre
The books have been written by the School professors Tomás Trigo and Ramiro Pellitero.
The high school Superior of Religious Sciences of the University of Navarre has published the books Fundamental Morality y Theology of the mission statement. These are volumes 16 and 17 respectively of the "Colección Manuales ISCR" of high school, published by EUNSA.
Tomás Trigo is professor of Moral Theology. He is the author of the work Moral fundamental, in which he offers a clear and synthetic exhibition , from a theological point of view, of the basic moral questions: the meaning of existence, human action, the virtues, the moral law, conscience and sin.
As Veritatis splendor states (n. 19), "following Christ is the essential and original foundation of Christian morality". Consequently, the author understands that Moral Theology must be the reflection on how the human person must live in order to identify with Christ and participate in Christ's mission statement . In each of the themes treated, it is emphasised that the Christian moral life is the loving response of the human person to the creative and redeeming love of God.
Ramiro Pellitero, author of Teología de la mission statement, is Professor at department of Systematic Theology at the University. The book deals with reflection on ecclesial action and its forms. It is the theological study of the mission statement in act, in exercise. As the author asserts, "Christian life is mission statement. If every human life is a project and a task, it is even more so in the Christian perspective, as the Aparecida Document says: 'Life is attained and matures as it is submission to give life to others. This is, in final, the mission statement' (n.360)".
