60 experts from the USA and Spain analyse keys to the economic support of the Church
The University of Navarra's workshop will present cases of good practice and address issues such as transparency and communication.
60 experts from the USA and Spain will analyse at the University of Navarra the keys to the economic sustainability of the Church on the occasion of a workshop organised by the group of research on the Sustainability of the Catholic Church (GISIC).
The activity is divided into three sessions: the theological basis for the support of the Church, practical experiences and proposals for the future. Topics such as financial management , the importance of transparency, donations and the communication of these issues will be discussed.
Other speakers will include Patrick O'Meara, founder and president of O'Meara Ferguson, and Daniel Mahan, director executive of the O'Meara Ferguson Center for Catholic Stewardship at Marian University (Indianapolis, USA); Anastasio Gómez Hidalgo, bursar of the Archbishopric of Toledo; and Marta Rey, professor at School of Economics and Business Studies at the University of La Coruña.
Other participants will include University of Navarra professors Jorge Otaduy, Félix Mª Arocena and Diego Zalbidea; Juan Manuel Mora, Vice President of Institutional Communication at campus; and Francisco Errasti, director general of research center Médica Aplicada (CIMA).
