Carmen Ferrer, current academic administrative assistant of School of Architecture, has been appointed General Manager. In addition, Eduardo Domingo, until now secretary attachment, will be the new director of development.

Professor José Ángel Medina will join the board board as Deputy Director for Students and Office of Academic Affairs; while Rubén Alcolea will continue as Deputy Director for academic staff and research. Leaving the board, the current deputy director Purificación González, professor of department of Building; and the professor of Projects Jorge Tárrago, until now director of programs of study.

With the appointments of Carmen Ferrer and Eduardo Domingo, Arquitectura adopts the new structure of the boards of directors, already in place at Schools of Pharmacy, Law, Economics, and Philosophy and Letters.

The splitting of the position of Academic Secretary into these two new figures arose from the conclusions of the work of consultancy service that was carried out in 2010. The main function of the General Manager of School is the management of resources: Personnel Management Service, economic tasks, facilities and equipment, organizational matters, as well as acting as secretary of the board board of directors. The director of development, on the other hand, is in charge of managing relations: promotion of the Degrees and masters, communication, Alumni, International Office, employment, organization of events, etc.
