Last Friday, October 6th, some guidance counselors from schools in Gipuzkoa came to Tecnun to learn about some of the new features of the School's academic programs . Among them, he reminded the attendees that from the next academic year 2024-2025 Tecnun will offer students with a B2 the possibility of studying first in English. 

Teachers from schools such as Erain, Salesianos Urnieta, Aldapeta María, Santo Tomas Lizeoa, Hernani BHI, Usandizaga BHI, Axular Lizeoa, Santa Teresa Ikastetxea and Instituto de Alza participated in the workshop .

The Tecnun Promotion director , Mikel Arcelus, explained the main developments in recent years, such as the implementation of the itineraries of Data Analytics, Science Computing, Hacking and Making and Sustainable Engineering and the agreement with Haas and the MIT average Lab. He also explained that Tecnun has a committee advisor of Companies with the goal to listen to companies in the territory, contrast the training program of Tecnun and improve the skills level of students. 

He also spoke of the difficulties encountered by first-year students when they arrive at Tecnun. "The professors who teach class in first year see that it is necessary for them to acquire a greater habit of work and resources to make up for the lack of report", he pointed out. 

The workshop culminated with a visit to laboratory of the Gene Haas Center, the Tecnun eRacing automotive workshop and a snack at the txoko.
