How to manage the performing arts?

José Manuel Garrido, director of the consultancy service and business of management cultural Artibus and programmer of Performing Arts for the University of Navarra Museumparticipated on November 25th in the cycle of sessions "Humanities, today"organized by the committee of Direction of Humanities.
In his speech, in which he reviewed his extensive professional career as a cultural advisor and producer of shows, he stressed the importance of the specific training for those who want to dedicate themselves in the future to the management of the Performing Arts.
He also explained to the students the changes that have taken place in this field in recent years: from the way shows are managed to the launching of individual initiatives such as micro-theater performances, which have emerged strongly in large cities.
Garrido referred to the difficulties involved in the management of the Performing Arts, but also wanted to highlight the professional possibilities it offers today, as both the theater and other shows still have the same validity today as yesterday.
Finally, in reference letter to its connection with the University of Navarra Museum as programmer of Performing Arts, he advanced for the students some data about the programming and the implementation of various activities that will serve as a bridge between the Museum and the University.
