Ana Belén Martínez, Assistant Director of Alumni, ISSA School of Applied Management

The president, María Iraburu, has appointed Ana Belén Martínez García as deputy director of the ISSA School of Applied Management. Philology Professor Martínez holds a degree and PhD in English from the University of Oviedo. Since joining our University in the 2013-14 academic year, she teaches general and specific English subjects (business communication in that language) in the Degree of Applied Management-management Aplicada. She also teaches literature in language English in the School of Philosophy and Letters.

His international experience (Leeds, UK; Miami, USA) allowed him to dedicate himself to the teaching of the English language at different levels and to research in the comparative literature of the Anglo-American and Spanish fields. His research focuses on issues of identity. She has written articles and given papers on partner-cultural aspects of written and oral literature, gender and performativity.

She has completed two one-year stays in total at the Centre for Life-Writing Research at King's College London in the UK (2017 and 2019), where she solidified her new line of research. Currently, she focuses on autobiographical narratives of a testimonial nature. She is Associate Professor with a PhD in Philology English at ISSA School of Applied Management and collaborates with the project de Emotional culture and identity of high school of Culture and Society.

With this appointment, the board board of directors of ISSA School of Applied Management is as follows:

  • Deputy Director of academic staff and Office of Academic Affairs: Mª Carmen Erviti.

  • Assistant Director of Students: Ana Belén Martínez.

  • Director from development: Antonio María Fernández.

  • General Manager: Susana Aulestiarte.
