"Creating business schools is a way to build bridges for peace."

Pedro Nueno, founder of CEIBS, visit the Core China of the School of Economics.

IESE's Professor Emeritus IESE and founder of China's first business school, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS)Pedro Nueno, gave the session "China, step by step" in the Program of Excellence of the School, on the occasion of his visit to the Core China of the School of Economicspromoted by Beatriz Simón, Marta Alonso and Rafael Torres.

Nueno gave a tour of the last decades of the Asian country's Economics and shared with students and professors his experience as founder of CEIBS, the first Chinese business school.

Nueno, also a full member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors (RAED), gave an optimistic perspective on the Asian giant and highlighted the commitment of the current Chinese government to develop economic models that reduce poverty, improve infrastructure and Education. Nueno highlighted the importance of effort, enthusiasm and values such as humility to overcome the barriers of doing business in a culture as different as China's.

Finally, he wanted to share with the students one of the lessons he learned at Harvard when he was doing his doctorate: "creating business schools is a way to create bridges for peace". In addition, Prof. Nueno encouraged to continue with the development platform. Core China Research Thank you very much Pedro!
