The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has granted the high school of research Sanitaria de Navarra (IdiSNA) the accreditation as high school of research Sanitaria.

This distinction will allow access to competitive calls for proposals from high school de Salud Carlos III aimed exclusively at accredited healthcare research institutes . Likewise, as high school integrated by hospitals, research centers and universities, it will improve its competitive and international position, relevant aspects in attracting European funds.

The Clínica Universidad de Navarrathe CIMA and the University of Navarra are part of the high school together with the Hospital Complex of Navarra (CHN), the Public University of Navarra (UPNA), Navarrabiomed, the high school of Public and Labor Health of Navarra, Primary Care and other health centers linked to department de Salud.

The President of the University of Navarra, Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero, pointed out that "the biomedical research is a strategic commitment. We are at the forefront in this field and this accreditation will allow us to obtain more funds to continue working and make progress so that Navarra can be one of the best places to live". He also assured that "IdiSNA is an example of how we can work together. We are different public-private institutions, all non-profit".

800 researchers organized in 100 groups

IdiSNA has more than 800 researchers organized into 100 groups of research and 9 areas of knowledge. In addition, 23% of the groups are of a mixed nature, as they integrate professionals from different public and private centers, which adds a approach multidisciplinary , necessary to guarantee a quality research .

The Regional Minister of Health, Fernando Domínguez, stated that "the accreditation will have an undoubtedly positive impact on the research healthcare system in Navarra. It also represents an important recognition for all the professionals of the different institutions that make it up".

"We are all convinced of the need to work together for the good of Navarra. It is the greatest guarantee for the research healthcare in Navarra," added the Minister. In this sense, he pointed out that it is a unique and singularmodel of high school of research of autonomous character, based on the public-privatepartnership and integrated by two large hospitals, two centers of research and two universities.
