Last Friday, March 9, at the classroom Magna of Central Building, was held the graduation ceremony of the XIV promotion of Alumni Scholarships. Thanks to the financial support of numerous individuals, institutions and companies, 53 students from different Schools will complete their programs of study at the University of Navarra this year.

Paloma Rubio (ISSA '18) and Helena Torres (ISSA '18), fourth year students at ISSA - School of Management Assistants, are part of this group of students with an excellent academic transcript . In the near future, they will be able to carry out their professional work with the values that characterize a scholarship recipient alumni: the spirit of service.

Helena started the Degree in attendance in 2014: "I chose to study at ISSA-School of Management Assistants because it is a degree program multidisciplinary , which allows to have a global vision of the business. Its academic programs is designed for people with a profile polyvalent, international and with a clear vocation to serve others, who are eager to know, discover and learn from different fields". He learned about the Alumni Scholarships Program at a workshop Open Doors. "I was learning about the different options that the University offers families to help them financially and the Alumni Scholarships seemed like a fantastic option to finance my programs of study", she explains.

She assures that having finished degree program as an Alumni scholar implies for her "pride, effort and passion for what I have achieved in these 4 years, both academically and staff". All thanks to people, companies and institutions that, with their generosity, have allowed her to achieve a dream: "I feel an enormous gratitude for the opportunity I have had to be part of the Program. Those people and institutions that place their trust in Alumni Scholarships offer many students the possibility of living an incredible experience at the University of Navarra. Their economic financial aid is also an incentive to strive every day to achieve a goal: to be excellent people and professionals tomorrow".

Like Helena, Paloma also started her programs of study in the 2014-15 academic year. She describes herself as a person who loves languages, the world of business and fashion, traveling and getting to know different cultures: "I thought that the Degree in Management Assistant was the perfect degree program to dedicate myself to what I like, because it is very internship, with very varied subjects and focused on the business world. It also allows you to travel abroad and gives you work experience during your time at university. There's nothing missing!". As she needed to finance the programs of study, she searched for information and learned about the Alumni Scholarships Program through the University's website.

With effort "but with a lot of satisfaction", he has been maintaining scholarship throughout the degree program: "It has given me a sense of responsibility and has made me always aspire to the highest. It has also made me see that with effort everything is possible and that you have to give the maximum of yourself. If you don't make it, that's okay, but that's where work and learning have been." After his graduation ceremony, when he takes stock of these last 4 years, he can only thank his benefactors: "THANK YOU with capital letters because, without them, this incredible experience at the University of Navarra would not have been possible".

The Alumni Scholarships Program was created fourteen years ago in response to an aspiration of the University's founder, St. Josemaría Escrivá: "That no one should fail to study at the University of Navarra for lack of financial resources.
