200 students from high school diploma from 41 Spanish cities participate in the IX Clinical Case Competition

The Campus Madrid of the University of Navarra hosted last Saturday, March 11th, the IX final of the Clinical Case Competition and convened in the capital the ten finalist teams, who defended their work before a panel formed by alumni of the School of Medicine.
The MEM team, from high school San Cernin, Pamplona, won the first place award, while the second place went to Elgodebarrak, from IES Elgoibar BHI, Guipúzcoa. The podium was completed by the Maverick team, from SEK Alborán International School, Almería. In addition, this edition included an award for the best presentation, which went to the team Los pupas, from high school San José - FEC, from Lugo.
The other teams that reached the final were: Los Quarks (La Salle Maravillas, Madrid), Los Van der Waals (Apostolado del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, Valladolid), Maristas Alicante (Sagrado Corazón - Maristas, Alicante), Wondermeds (Izaga, Navarra), Investigadoras de San Agustín (San Agustín, La Rioja) and Las Bioestudiantes (Joyfe, Madrid).
These ten groups stood out among the 58 teams that brought together 200 students from 41 Spanish cities. high school diploma from 41 Spanish cities. This competition is a pioneering activity in Spain that offers a first class university experience to students who are considering studying a degree program from area Biosanitaria. Based on real clinical cases, and organized in teams of three or four students, the goal is to establish an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment for the patient. During the different phases of the competition, each team is supported by a tutor, in charge of guiding and resolving any doubts that may arise during the activity.
