Closing of the V "Painting Workshop: masters of figuration" of the University of Navarra.
The fifth edition of the "Painting Workshop: masters of figuration", taught by Antonio López and José María Mezquita at partnership by Juan José Aquerreta from Pamplona, comes to an end at the University of Navarra. A total of 29 artists, most of them graduates or students of Fine Arts, have participated in the initiative.
The students were selected from more than 50 profiles from countries such as India, China and France, based on their technical level and artistic background. Likewise, 11 students who enrolled last year have repeated the experience: some who are beginning to consolidate their artistic degree program as the Pamplona Juan José Lazcano and others who are becoming an important curriculum as the young Madrid Jacobo Alcalde or Raquel Samitier, a native of Zizur.
The beginnings of a tradition of high artistic level
During the course of the workshop, organized by the service of Cultural Activities Office and the technical school of Architecture of the University of Navarra, they have worked on the genres of the figurative tradition, such as the still life, the human figure with natural models and landscapes, central motifs of the different sessions, and the students have been able to share tips, techniques and individual and personal explanations with each teacher.
