TranscendentalPhilosophy , Phenomenology and Natural Law is the new degree scroll of the 'Reason and Normativity' collection, promoted by the 'Emotional culture and identity' (CEMID) of the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra. It is the fourteenth Issue of the collection and is edited by researcher Mariano Crespo.

This publication gathers a series of papers presented, mostly at a symposium organized in May 2015by the research group 'Natural law and rationality internship' of the ICS. This group joined CEMID in 2016. This Issue brings together contributions on various topics related to the historical and systematic deepening of the different theories of natural law and internship rationality.

Some of the questions addressed are the connections between the phenomenologically inspired material ethics of values and the idea of natural law, the distinction between the sphere of the legal and the sphere of the moral, the criticism of the consideration of human rights as founded on natural law, the reasons why we have certain acts and duties as a consequence of social acts, or the sense and meaning of the term freedom when it is employee in the framework of Criminal Law.

As its publisher states, despite the thematic variety, the texts stress two common ideas: the need to encourage dialogue between different disciplines such as Philosophy and law on the question of the existence of elements prior to positive legislation and the conviction that these elements have their own intelligibility.

The contributing authors are Marta Albert (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos), Mariano Crespo (Universidad de Navarra), Cheikh Mbacke Gueye (University of Liechtenstein), Esteban Marín Ávila (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), Pablo Sánchez-Ostiz (Universidad de Navarra) and Roberto J. Walton (Universidad de Buenos Aires).

The collection 'Reason and Normativity', edited by University professors Ana Marta González and Alejandro G. Vigo, is published by OLMS, an internationally renowned academic house publishing house that distributes its works in Germany, Switzerland, USA and France.
