What is Ebola, what is its natural cycle, what other outbreaks have occurred in Africa or what are its symptoms and routes of transmission. These and other questions will be explained at seminar "Ebola: Questions and Answers" given by doctors Ignacio López Goñi and José Luis del Pozo from the University of Navarra. The event will take place this Thursday, October 16 at 3:00 p.m. at auditorium of Sciences Building. The session is aimed at students, faculty and staff of the academic center.
"There is great curiosity about this topic. What we want to convey is a message of tranquility, we are not facing an epidemic. It is a status in which professionals have to be vigilant but the general population calm. There is no need to change our habits or rhythms of life," said Ignacio López Goñi.
The talk, which will last one hour, will consist of a brief introduction on general aspects of the virus and later, another part based on clinical aspects such as symptoms, transmission, vaccines,... After these interventions, attendees will be able to ask questions to the experts. "Ebola: Questions and Answers" is organized by the high school of Tropical Health and the department of Microbiology and Parasitology of the University of Navarra.
