“La Nueva Evangelización exige a los profesores de religión una formación continua y un trabajo creativo para hacer brillar el atractivo de la fe”
"The New Evangelization demands from religion teachers a continuous training and a creative work to make the attractiveness of the faith shine through."
This was stated by the Deputy Director of the ISCR of the University of Navarra on the occasion of the V Theological-Didactic conference , in which 120 people participated.
"Pope Benedict XVI has a very great interest in the New Evangelization: a call to all Christians to renew our identity and enthusiasm for the faith we profess. This task involves religion teachers and demands from them a deep and continuous training, and a creative work to make the attractiveness of the Christian faith shine also for today's young people". This was stated by José Manuel Fidalgo, Deputy Director of the high school Superior of Religious Sciences (ISCR) of the University of Navarra, on the occasion of the V Theological-Didactic conference of the ISCR, which was held in Madrid.
According to the professor of the School of Theology of the campus Pamplona, the lines of work for the Christian training in the school should be very varied. Among them, he highlighted "the knowledge and the habitual use of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the importance of a good training on the sacrament of Penance and the Eucharist for the Christian life, the learning of prayer as meeting staff with Jesus Christ and, of course, to intensify the testimony of Christian charity, as the Holy Father is insistently reminding us".
