Are Humanities"practical" ?
56 students from School of Philosophy and Letters are doing internships this summer in national and international institutions.
Throughout the course they receive counseling and support from the Careers Office of the School of Philosophy and LettersThe program provides specialized destinations for students of humanities degrees: museums, cultural institutions or foundations, among others. This year 56 students are doing their internships.
Seven of them have been able to opt for international internships in countries such as the USA, Guatemala, Bulgaria or Peru. A student from Philosophy, will collaborate with the cultural delegation of the Spanish Embassy in Washington, D.C. (USA); a student of the double program Degree in Philosophy and Journalism is doing her internship at the business Porter Novelliin Guatemala; a graduate of Humanities will work at the Spanish Embassy in Sofia (Sofia, Spain). Embassy of Spain in Sofia (Bulgaria). (Bulgaria). Seven students from the double Degree in History and Journalism are in Peru. They will work in academic and cultural institutions.
In Navarra we can find students of the School of Philosophy and Letters doing internships in institutions such as: Jorge Oteiza Foundation, City of Music, Huarte Contemporary Art Center, Tudela Museum, Navarra Newspaper and the Caja Navarra Foundationamong others. Throughout the course, our students have also collaborated with the Museum of Navarra or the exhibition Occidens.
It is also worth mentioning the participation of seven students from Degree of History in the archaeological excavations at Los Bañales. Los Bañales (Uncastillo-Zaragoza). They participate together with students from other universities after having passed a selection process. Institutions in Aragon and Guipuzkoa have also received students this summer.
