The University of Navarra professors Miguel Zugasti and Ana Zúñiga Lacruz, members of group TriviUN (Theater, Literature and Visual Culture of the University of Navarra), have just published in the collection Library Services Potestas of the Universitat Jaume I the book El tablado, la calle, la fiesta teatral en el Siglo de Oro (The Stage, the Street, the Theatrical Festival in the Golden Age).

This work is the result of the III International Symposium "Theater and Festivity in the Golden Age: Spain and America", organized in 2019 by the group TriviUN. It brings together 18 specialists in theatrical criticism, literature, iconography and visual culture who reflect, from a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary perspective, on the celebratory festivity between the 16th and 18th centuries and its complex religious, political and ludic framework. The different essays in this book cover a large part of the pan-Hispanic area: from the viceroyalty of Mexico to Manila, passing through the Mediterranean and reaching the epicenter of the empire, Madrid. In all these places, squares, streets and stages were privileged witnesses of multiple celebrations and festivities.

El tablado, la calle, la fiesta teatral en el Siglo de Oro is part of the activities of project of research "Teatro, fiesta y cultura visual en la monarquía hispánica (ss. XVI-XVIII). Phase II", financed by MINECO-Agencia Estatal de research-FEDER funds, with reference letter FFI2017-86801-P.
