Gorka Gómez graduated in Pharmacy from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and, once he finished degree program, after working in a pharmacy office, it was clear to him that he wanted to work in the pharmaceutical industry. However, she did not know much about the existing areas or which were the possible employment opportunities : "I thought that the best option was to study a Master's Degree that would allow me to obtain a global vision and that is how I chose to study the Master's Degree in research, development and drug innovation (MIDI)".

"Now I know that the Master's Degree has provided me with the necessary knowledge to be able to develop myself in any sector of the industry: learning is dynamic, thanks to both the theoretical-practical classes and the different sessions of training, and the attention with the academic staff is very close, you feel accompanied at all times and you are able to give the best of yourself," she explains.

For Gorka, an example of this is the work de Fin de Master's Degree (TFM), with a varied offer and the opportunity to choose different options. "In my case, I was clear that my preferences were the clinical and regulatory areas; and that is how I ended up at the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) in Madrid." Thus, her six months at area of Clinical Trials were one of her "most gratifying" experiences: "To see the Agency working tirelessly from the front line, in the middle of the pandemic, and to be able to be part of it is something incredible. The experience gained is of another level and great value".

In addition, a month before submitting the TFM, he received an unexpected offer from employment . One of the people involved in his biomedical sciences project was Vicente Martínez, former student of MIDI and director physician of Takeda's neurosciences area . He was accompanied by Jose Cela and Claudio J. Camacho, renowned professionals. "Now in February it will be one year since I joined Celavista Mito-Biogenesis (CMB) and Naturemimetix (NMX) as a regulatory affairs and scientific documentation technician. I couldn't be happier or feel more fulfilled. We understand nutrition at core topic pharmaceutical. In addition to constantly learning, I am improving people's lives, which is, after all, what we are all about," he concludes.
