The Panamerican University of Mexico has awarded the doctorate honoris causa degree to Angel Luis Gonzalez, Full Professor of Metaphysics at the University of Navarra. At the same ceremony, María Guadalupe Mariscal de Vilchis (Founder of VIFAC-Vida y Familia), Dipak C. Jain (former Dean of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University) and Francis L. Delmonico (Professor at Harvard Medical School School ) were also invested.

Professor Rocío Mier y Terán, dean of the School of Humanities of the Mexican academic center, highlighted in the laudatory speech of Ángel Luis González "his long academic career in the teaching, training of professors, research and university government tasks".

For his part, the professor from the University of Navarra referred to the spirit of hope, which is always essential for a university student, and the need to develop large projects. "First of all, because knowledge, science and wisdom never end or culminate. Ángel Luis González, graduate in Philosophy by the Complutense University and PhD by the University of Navarra, was head of Metaphysics at the Complutense University and Full Professor at the University of Malaga. He is Full Professor of that discipline at the University of Navarra since 1983, as well as director of the Philosophical Collection of Eunsa, of the Cuadernos de yearbook Filosófico, Serie Universitaria and the journal Studia Poliana (1996). He has also held the positions of director of programs of study of the School of Philosophy and Letters, Vice President of the University of Navarra, Dean of the School of Philosophy and Letters, and president of the Publications Service of this center.
