The professor of the School of Philosophy y Letras Ángel Luis González, Full Professor of Metaphysics at the University, has edited a volume with Spanish translations of works by the German philosopher G. W. Leibniz. The book is the second in the collection 'Philosophical and Scientific Writings', dedicated to publishing in Spanish the works of the great thinker from Hannover.

The series, projected as an edition in 19 volumes divided according to thematic areas and published by the publishing house Comares (Granada), is part of the project 'Leibniz en español', sponsored by the Spanish Leibniz Society and coordinated by Prof. Juan A. Nicolás(University of Granada).

The edited book refers to works of metaphysics and consists of translations prepared specifically for this volume by a group of specialists from different academic centers. In addition to publisher, the following professors have contributed translations: Rogelio Rovira(Complutense University), Socorro Fernández(University of Burgos), María Jesús Soto Bruna, Rubén Pereda, Agustín Echavarría (all three from the University of Navarra) and Andrés Fuertes (IES Basoco, Pamplona).

The book gathers 51 writings, most of them never previously translated, preceded by an introduction by publisher. Among the texts are some of the highlights of Leibnizian thought, such as The Philosopher's Profession of Faith, speech of Metaphysics, New System, Monadology and Principles of Nature and Grace Founded on Reason.
