The School from Canon Law of the University of Navarra has created the MOOC "¿ ?How the Church manages its assets? Cuestiones de Derecho Patrimonial Canónico y afines", which is aimed at bursars, members of the economic affairs councils of parishes and dioceses or other ecclesiastical institutions (Caritas, NGOs, confraternities, etc.), parish priests, members of diocesan curias, journalists and students of Canon Law. It is an initial course that does not imply the specialization in the specific branches that are addressed and it is free of charge.

This MOOC - an acronym for Massive Online Open Courses - aims to offer a global and integral approach to the main questions concerning the use and management of temporal goods by the Catholic Church in the realization of its evangelizing mission statement . The aim is to approach the most material reality of the Church from an interdisciplinary point of view.

The course does not only deal with technical issues but is a reflection of the very nature of the institution. "The Church is not a business and that is why a specific course on the management of its assets is necessary," declares Professor Diego Zalbidea director of this MOOC. His goal is to offer a global vision of the management that the Catholic Church makes of its resources in the fulfillment of its evangelizing mission statement in the midst of the world.
