Professor Chloé Le Coq presented the paper: "How Do Social Entrepreneurs Respond to Rewards? Stockholm School of Economics Chloé Le Coq School presented the paper:"How Do Social Entrepreneurs Respond to Rewards? A Field Experiment on Motivations".
During the session, in which several members of academic staff participated, Le Coq explained the effects and benefits of social entrepreneurship. The study by the professor of the Stockholm School of Economics is based on a field experiment to identify the causal effects of extrinsic incentive signals on the ranking and performance of new social entrepreneurs.
The results of the experiment highlight the critical role of intrinsic motives for the selection and performance of social enterprises and suggest that the use of extrinsic incentives to promote the development of successful social enterprises may be counterproductive in the long run deadline.
