The University of Navarra’s Tantaka Day, a festive and charitable “ workshop ,” brought together 600 attendees on the esplanade of the “ School of Communication .” The event, organized by Tantaka—the university’s charitable time bank—in partnership with Caja Rural de Navarra’s Social Action program, raised a total of 8,965 euros.

Under the“Despierta” ( degree scroll ), the “ workshop ” event featured various activities, such as a charity lunch, games, donations, and a charity raffle. All proceeds will be donated to Cáritas to support the program assisting “families without network.” This initiative financial aid supports single-parent families, 90% of which are headed by mothers who bear sole financial responsibility for their children. These are people without employment and without a network of family support, which leaves the children in a status of extreme poverty.

A Look Back at Tantaka’s 14 Years

During the event, attendees took a journey through Tantaka’s 14-year history via a “time tunnel,” learned about local and international volunteer activities projects at the booths, and enjoyed musical performances.

In addition to Caja Rural de Navarra’s Social Action Foundation ( partnership ), the event “ workshop ” featured Osasuna’s Foundation ( financial aid ), Indara, Canalla, cafeteria Soren, Grosso Napoletano, Lacturale, and Bodegas Otazu.
