"It is important to be open, proactive, not to generate conflicts and to have a good and positive ambition."
Third session of the Alumni Experience of School of Economics

Paula Álvarez (ECO'14), Senior Audit at KPMG, was one of the participants in the third roundtable Alumni Experience of the School of Economics on consultancy service and Auditing, with the participation of alumni of School from companies such as Deloitte, Oliver Wyman and E&Y.
"A strategic consultant sees problems in very different sectors and clients, which allows him to be enriched by the particularities of each client and team he works with," explained Juan de Cominges (ECO'12), consultant of Monitor Deloitte. In addition, Cominges emphasized that "this is a sector with a completely international and very demanding vision, which pushes you out of your comfort zone".
María Brice (ECO'13), Senior Audit at E&Y, highlighted how in this sector "you learn to manage stress, be organized and communicate with your superiors". Brice also shared the advantages of working in a small office like E&Y in Pamplona, where she has been able to have her own clients and projects.
Javier Tanco (ECO'99, MEF'00), Senior Manager at Deloitte, recommended to the students the importance of taking advantage of their time at School: "Work hard and be persistent in what you really like, the rest will come by itself". committee Mariano Marmolejo (ECO'11), Engagement Manager at Oliver Wyman (ECO'11) added: "Be proactive in the world of business, take advantage of the opportunities you have at the University".
Regarding the selection processes, to which many of the students have already applied, Marmolejos pointed out that "it is normal that the first interviews do not go well". She also advised them to personalize their CVs to the business to which they are applying for the position: "Any effort you make to adapt your CV or personalize it will be greatly appreciated by the person who has to read it". Paula Álvarez also stressed the importance of "being self-confident" and "not being afraid of making the wrong career choice".
