A research by two economics professors wins new international recognition
The jury of the research and programs of study Antonio Dionis Soler Awards unanimously agrees to award the prize, endowed with 15,000 euros.
credit The jury of the research and programs of study Antonio Dionis Soler Awards has decided to award the work of research Dealing with dealers: Sovereing CDS Co-Movements in Europe, by School researchers Sergio Mayordomo and María Rodríguez and their IESE colleague Miguel Antón.
The jury unanimously decided to award the award to research, already recognized with the V award of the Chair Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM)-Accenture.
The work addresses the discussion on the role of financial innovations in economic growth, a topic very investigated in recent times due to the responsibility of some of them in the generation of the international crisis. Both professors belong to the group of research Banking and Finance for Societywhich analyzes the rapid expansion and use of popular financial derivatives such as Credit Default Swaps or CDS and their consequences.
The jury of these international awards, promoted by the Foundation of programs of study Financiers and endowed with 15.15,000 euros, was composed of Fernando Gómez-Bezares, Full Professor of Finance at the University of Deusto; Juan Carlos Gómez conference room, Full Professor of Economics Finance and Accounting at the University of Alicante; Alfredo Jiménez Fernández, director of Analysis and programs of study of the Foundation of programs of study Financiers; Juan Mascareñas Pérez-Iñigo, Full Professor of Economics Finance at the Complutense University of Madrid; and IEAF members Javier Méndez Llera, José Luis Palomo and Juan José Toribio.
