Bisman Ediciones, QUT Ediciones and the University of Navarra, in partnership with the Pan-American Federation of Architects' Associations (FPAA), have presented the book Curriculum. Learning and experience in Spain of the new American architecture in an online event that brought together more than a hundred professionals.

This volume brings together a selection of 32 architects from various Latin American countries, graduates of the Master's Degree in Architectural Theory and design (MTDA) of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. "Currículum came about when, together with Hernán Bisman and Pablo Engelman, heads of the Argentinean publishing house Bisman Ediciones, we realised that many of the representatives of a generation of outstanding architects on the Ibero-American scene had a common link: they had all passed through the classrooms of the MTDA", explains one of its editors, also an architecture critic, Fredy Massad, director of QUT Ediciones.

The project - which revolves around a twenty-year programme that is one of the longest-running of its kind specialization program- was joined by the Pan-American Federation of Architects' Associations (FPAA), an organisation founded in 1950 with the aim of bringing together the Architects' Associations of all the countries of the Americas, goal .

The volume contains the profile and selected works of each of the 32 selected architects, winners of the Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BIAU), the award National Architecture SCA CPAU, the award ARQ-FADEA or the Biennial of Latin American Architecture (BAL). It also includes his first-person reflection on how his time at postgraduate program influenced his degree program .

More than 200 architects from 20 countries

As the director of the MTDA, Doctor in Architecture Luis Suárez Mansilla, explains, "throughout the 20 years of the Master's Degree, Pamplona and the School of Architecture have been places of meeting and learning for more than 200 young architects of twenty different nationalities. Each one, driven by different motivations, embarked on a journey whose destination has been intellectual growth and professional excellence. Thanks, in large part, to a methodology professor based on the integrated teaching Project Workshop".

"The result of the MTDA's training proposal has been a generation of architects committed to their land and their roots who, on their way back and forth, have found a knowledge that was already latent in their trajectories and that the academic pathway and the stay in Pamplona have helped to bring out from within", adds the School's director , Miguel Ángel Alonso del Val.

The book is now on sale through publishing house EUNSA.
