Seven thousand university students at the 8th University Week employment
Seven companies selected staff directly among 400 students and graduates of the center.
Approximately 7,000 university students attended the VIII Week of employment of the University of Navarra, which took place from March 6 to 10. This initiative, organized by the Foundation business-University of Navarra and the Careers Services, has as main goal offer internships and contracts to complete the academic training of students, while serving as a first employment.
The Week was attended by 180 professionals from different companies, of which 120 attended the students of the different Schools of the University in the VIII Forum of employment held on Wednesday 8.
The Forum, considered the "highlight" of the Week, presented the main novelty of this activity, held since 1992: seven companies (Aramark, Retevisión, L'oreal, Tryp Hotels, Idom, Agrupación Mutua and Sema Group) carried out selection processes among the students on the same day. More than 400 university students were interviewed in these processes.
More than 250 internships and workIn addition, of the 43 companies participating in the Forum, 38 made presentations to make themselves known to the students and, in total, more than 250 internships and contracts were offered at work.
During employment Week there have also been information sessions to orient students about employment opportunities. Specifically, there have been 12 specific sessions for each School (Philosophy and Letters, Law, Nursing, Biology Biochemistry and Chemistry...) and 11 to address general topics of employment and provide training of interest to university students from all centers (types of contracts and salaries, active search for employment via Internet, international internships ...).
The Week of employment was sponsored by Iberdrola, Banco de Vasconia and the Navarre Service of employment. Some of the companies that participated were Aceralia, Airtel, Antena 3, BSCH, Campofrío, Dell, Deutsche Bank, Eroski, McKinsey&Co, Mondragón Corporación Corporativa, Pricewaterhousecoopers, Philips, Retevisión, Sanitas, Telefónica, Viscofán and Volkswagen.
