During the first edition of Career Management Week, a week of training at career guidance and preparation for selection processes, five alumni from School who work in the consultancy service and Audit sector shared their experiences in the labor market at roundtable attended by more than a hundred students.

The alumni agreed that this is a challenging work where you learn to work in a team in a very demanding environment that requires a lot of time and dedication, but where the learning curve is very fast.

"The first years of work mark your path, that's why consultancy service opens doors for you....es easier to move from consultancy service to industry than the other way around," stressed Ane Martín (ECO'09), senior consultant at PwC.

In this sense, Martin emphasized the importance of taking advantage of the university years, doing internships during the degree program and mastering more than one language. "When you get to the working world you can see everything you have learned at university," says the consultant.

Marta Villamayor (ADE'09), a consultant at Management Solutions, believes that "working at consultancy service allows you to learn to think in a structured way and also teaches you to know how to sell ideas, to know how to convince". As for auditing, Cecilia Zárate (ADE'16) , an auditor at KPMG, says that "this work gives you financial aid to get to know how a businessworks".

The roundtable was composed of: María Haydée Camacho (ADE'14), Senior Consultant at KPMG; Marta Villamayor (ADE'09), Senior Consultant at Management Solutions; Ane Martín (ECO'09), Senior Transaction Consultant at PwC; Gonzalo Arana (ECO'12 MEF'13), Associate at Oliver Wyman; and Cecilia Zárate (ADE'16) Audit at KPMG.
