380 boys and girls participate in the 5th edition of the University of Navarra Science Museum camps.

Understanding the science behind some chemical experiments and getting to know urban biodiversity have been the central themes of this new edition.

The 5th edition of the "Cienceando" camps, organized by the Science Museum of the University of NavarraThis summer, 380 boys and girls between 3 and 12 years of age from all over Navarre participated in the 5th edition of the "Cienceando" camps.

Giant soap bubbles, a homemade compass, writing a secret message with magic ink, making objects disappear or change color are some of the experiments that the schoolchildren carried out at the camps on Chemistry.

On the other hand, the nature camps are held outdoors throughout the month of August and the children have been able to learn about urban biodiversity, investigate how habitats work and why it is necessary to protect them. Thus, conference has been dedicated to learning about different species of urban fauna such as bats, beavers, mollusks, moles, earthworms, birds and crayfish, and through games, crafts and explanations about their biology, feeding, habitat, etc. In this edition of Cienceando, participants also discovered the importance of insects, pollination and the environments they need to survive.

The urban camps of the Science Museum of the University of Navarra are aimed at kindergarten and primary school children and are designed as a fun way to spend the summer learning and enjoying science. Their learning program has been designed by teachers from the Chemistryand by the team of the Science Museum, and are taught by students from Degree in Science and Education and Psychology of the University of Navarra.
