Do you have a kilo of pulses, cookies, canned food, rice or pasta?
The University organizes until September 21 a collection of non-perishable food items on the occasion of the beatification of Don Álvaro del Portillo.
On the occasion of the beatification of Don Alvaro del Portillo, on September 27 in Madrid, the University has organized a collection of non-perishable food items at campus in Pamplona.
The purpose of this campaign, which will continue until Sunday, September 21, is to collect rice and pasta, canned fish, canned meat, canned vegetables and legumes, oil, cereals and children's cookies.
The collection points were located in the buildings Amigos, Central, Library Services from Humanities south, Science Library, Communication, Hexagon Building, Architecture, sports center, Cima, Theology and Dining Halls.
The food will be distributed among the Food Bank, the Little Sisters of the Poor and various parishes that serve people in need.
With this initiative the University of Navarra joins the campaign that the organization of the Beatification has launched to collect food in 43 Spanish cities, in which schools, parishes and other apostolic works of Opus Dei also participate.
