The president of the University strongly condemns the insults to the Minister of the Interior.

The University condemns the regrettable and unjustifiable behavior of a few students who have severely insulted the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, at the exit of an event at the University. This behavior contrasts with the normality with which the intervention of the Minister had developed in the event itself.

The president of the University, María Iraburu, has expressed that "we deeply regret these insults, contrary to the most elementary respect for the dignity of people. These are condemnable acts in any environment, but especially in a university institution, where respect and dialogue must always prevail. On behalf of the University, I would like to publicly apologize to the Minister".

The University initiates a research to try to identify the students and open the corresponding disciplinary proceedings.
