The Simulation Center launches the "Laparoscopic Virtual Project".
This initiative aims to familiarize medical students with this technique.
The Simulation Center of the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra has launched the"Laparoscopic Virtual Project". It is an initiative whose goal is to familiarize students from first to sixth year of medicine in the use of this technique.
The program aims that through the repetition of practices and by means of exercises of skill with increasing difficulty, through the use of a Trainer simulator with real laparoscopy forceps, improving the skill and confidence of this system as well as a better eye coordinationguide and spatial vision.
The laparoscopic intervention technique has become more and more widespread in the different medical-surgical disciplines because it is a minimally invasive technique thanks to which the preoperative and postoperative period is more favorable for the patient, reducing in good average side effects.
