"The Virgin dreams roads".
The Nativity Scene of the Schools Ecclesiastics
This year's Nativity Scene of the Schools Ecclesiastical is inspired by Origen's Hexapla. This work is Origen's six-column transcription of the Hebrew text of the Old Testament. It is considered the first critical edition of the Old Testament.
In the Bethlehem of the administrative office of the Schools Ecclesiastical there are also six columns that translate the Carmelo Erdozáin's carol, so popular in our lands, "La Virgen sueña caminos".
The first column contains the original Christmas carol. Below is the translation in Hebrew by the professor of Theology Francisco Varo. The translation into Basque has been made by professor de Canon Law Diego Zalbidea. The fourth and fifth columns are the English and Latin translations of the Carol at position by Professors José Alviar and Jesús María Bañales. Finally, a sixth column incorporates the exegetical commentary of the Villancico remembering the "teachers" who have worked in these years to develop the programs of study of Philosophy, Theology and Canon Law that are taught at the University of Navarra, and the employees of the University who make possible the day to day of the Ecclesiastical Schools .
Pope Francis has order that the Theology should be done on one's knees. To dream, as Our Lady does, is to kneel before the Mystery. Those of us who work in the Ecclesiastical Schools are very fortunate because we have been taught to dream(chalam in Hebrew) by so many masters, and many people help us every day, silently but effectively.
