quotation 170 professionals from 25 cities in Spain met on Monday, March 16, at IESE in Madrid, Spain, to attend . VIII Theological-Didactic workshop "Challenges and Orientations on the Family.. A purpose of two synods", organized by the high school Superior of Religious Sciences (ISCR ) of the University of Navarra, which consisted of three sessions and a final colloquium .

"Politics does not support the family."

"The family in the society of the 21st century", was the discussion paper of Alejandro Navas, doctor in Philosophy and professor of Sociology and Public Opinion at the University of Navarra. School of Communication University of Navarra. He assured that "in our country politics does not support the family, which is seen as something hostile from the left, because it is source primordial of inequality, and from the right it is perceived that it is not necessary to do anything for it".

He also pointed out that "after attend to biological evolution we find ourselves in the anthropocene: man takes command". This way of understanding life has led us to postmodernity, in which "society itself creates its own totalitarianisms, which are applied to human life from the beginning. From full sex, pregnancies are triggered, followed by abortions".

Professor Navas noted that happiness is a fashionable topic , and in our country "it is associated with the family. What remains and what matters is the family: without it a society becomes extinct". That is why "it is decisive, basic, fundamental". He encouraged to educate to "live in Christianity, which right now is something countercultural, at least in Europe. It is necessary to show one's face, to make oneself known, because what is Christian is no longer evident or evident".

"Christianity is wounded."

Pedro Rodriguez, priest, doctor in Theology and Law, Professor Emeritus of Dogmatic Theology at the University of Navarra, spoke on "The family in the current ecclesial context". School of Theology of the University of Navarra spoke on "The family in the present ecclesial context". He exhorted educators to the enormous responsibility they have to "explain to children from an early age what it is to be a man".

He recalled that at the end of the pontificate of Benedict XVI an extraordinary synod on the new evangelization was held. "The post-synodal document echoes the importance of the family for the new evangelization, which appears seen not only as the object of evangelization, but also as the subject of evangelization."

Professor Rodriguez said that "the great drama is that Christians are not Christians. Christianity is wounded; it must be regenerated from the family. Few people today are aware of the sanctity of marriage because they have grown up deprived of any Christian culture. It is necessary to strengthen and deepen the preparation for marriage", he concluded.

"The Education humanizes the planet"

"School and family" was the discussion paper of Alfonso Aguiló, civil engineer, president of the Arenales Foundation and of the Alborada Foundation.

"At Harvard they are studying the lines of Pope Francis' pontificate, which could be summarized as: the need to focus on the essential, a more attractive reformulation of the usual, without fear of change," Aguiló explained. "In the same way that the Pope is concerned about the last ones, in our educational task we owe ourselves to the difficult student , to the complex cases, to the complicated families".

He appealed to the importance of communication in transmitting the faith and the need for formation. "The message is good; sometimes the one who does not know is the messenger". And he insisted on the need to "adapt to what there is" and stop talking about "what should be done, or what should be". He encouraged the participants to "learn from young people and awaken in them the desire to change the world.

Alfonso Aguiló concluded by saying that "the Education always produces fruit, without pretending to know too much about how, or where, or when. The Education humanizes the planet. We want people to be autonomous. And that is not Exempt of a good dose of patience".
