The School of Education and Psychology organized for the second consecutive year the sessions of training online for teachers "Educating today: the current challenges of the teacher¨. The speakers in this edition were Professor Carolina Ugarte, who spoke on "How report PISA affects the management of schools" and Professor Juan Cruz Ripoll, who entitled his session "Studying and doing homework. ESO students (even with TDH)".

Ugarte wanted to emphasize that PISA focuses exclusively on 3 competencies (reading, mathematics and science), however, he emphasized that Education encompasses the whole person, "financial aid to human improvement" and, therefore, "its data cannot be absolutized". He also referred to the results obtained by the students, which can be explained by different factors, among them the economic and cultural index partner of the families. Without forgetting that there are other aspects (structural, the organization of the center, the families and the context) that influence the performance of student body.

For his part, Professor Ripoll explained the different study techniques that improve the academic performance of students, giving guidelines in each of the study phases on strategies and recommended activities to improve understanding and memorization of content.
