23 volunteers, Architecture and Engineering students from Building of the University of Navarra, will travel to Guatemala during the month of July to build several houses in the village of El noticeboard. This place, located in the municipality of Tecpàn, is populated only by indigenous people, most of whom are dedicated to cultivate the scarce land they own.

For the fourth consecutive year, the students will work in this area devastated in 2005 by Hurricane Stan. The initiative was born in 2007 thanks to the contacts that María Antonia Frías, professor at School of Architecture, maintains with the Universidad del Istmo, in Guatemala.

In the previous three years, the students, supported by other future architects from the American academic center and members of the NGO FUDI (Fundación para el development Integral de Guatemala), built several houses thanks to financial aid received from various companies.

The young people who will travel to Guatemala during the summer months are Tadeo Ciaurriz, Eduardo Pérez, Alejandro Delgado, Ana Jordán, Natxo Asurmendi, Paula Izu, Ander Esarte, Saioa Martínez, Almudena Redondo, Amaia Zuazua, Arantxa Satrustegui, Iñaki Azcoiti, José María Urbiola and Saioa Echaide; Asier Aparicio, Itxaso Larrañaga, Maddi Labayen, Idoia Ochoa, Iker Ordoño, Verónica Van Horenbeken and Laida Altuna, from the Basque Country; Paula Zuñeda from Burgos; and Sara Poza from Zaragoza.

The issue number of homes they build will depend on the financial contributions received by project. For this reason, the young people have already started their fundraising campaign by selling T-shirts and backpacks with the logo 'SOS: No design, just necessity' and participating in charity raffles and other university events. In addition, they have opened the following bank account for donations: Caja de Ahorros de Navarra (CAN) 2054-0134-81-915154437.1, which can also be made through the website group www.nodesignguatemala.com.
