On March 4 and 5, the University of Navarra will hold its third virtual fair of employment, Virtual Career Forum, with the participation of national and international companies and organizations such as Banco Santander, Iberdrola, Danone, Florette, Llorente y Cuenca, El Corte Inglés, Caja Rural de Navarra and association Inserta employment (ONCE Foundation), among others.

The University has been a pioneer in the development of this virtual fair modality , which seeks to multiply the possibilities of networking, as well as to meet the recruitment needs of companies and the employability of students and graduates of the University. "Faced with this tsunami of change, not only because of the pandemic, but also because of the changes that preceded the health crisis, the University of Navarra has responded with determination," says Roberto Cabezas, director of the university's Foundation business and Career Services.

In the last two virtual fairs, more than 2,000 students and nearly 1,400 graduates have participated, making more than 20,000 visits to the virtual stands of the companies. The nearly 100 companies that have participated in previous editions have offered more than 400 offers of employment and internships, and 90.5% would repeat the experience.

work market in the post-COVID era

The Virtual Career Forum allows companies, students and graduates to meet at contact without having to travel. In addition, companies can access the resumes of participants who have visited their stands, make presentations and talk live with candidates via chat, with the option of video chat. As a novelty, in this edition companies will also be able to offer live online presentations.

More than 60 companies have registered so far for the 2021 edition. If a business, NGO or other subject organization is interested in participating, regardless of its sector and size, it can reserve its stand before February 26 by filling out a form through this link: bit.ly/vcfunav2021.

The virtual fair is a bet that responds to the new recruitment and selection needs of companies. "In the blink of an eye, how, where and when we work has changed. In the post-COVID era, many people will need to retrain to ensure their employability in a marketplace at work that is expected to undergo profound changes. Companies have also realized that they need to respond to needs they did not have before and add to their teams university talent with a high quality theoretical and humanistic training ", says Roberto Cabezas.

Modalities of participation:
