Lewis, Cantos warned of the danger of a passive nursing profession limited to routine tasks. In the face of that “whisper” of mediocrity, he argued that the internship is a real necessity driven by the aging population and the complexity of today’s healthcare system. Cantos emphasized that this Master's Degree has Master's Degree been a path of comfort, but rather one of growth through self-criticism: “The transformation of nursing will not come on its own. It will come from those who are willing to step out of their comfort zones, to ask questions, and to take action.” Furthermore, he reminded the audience that the training does not distance professionals from patients, but rather brings them closer, equipping them with more resources and judgment to “truly do them good.” The delegate concluded by thanking the families for their unseen but essential support, affirming that for the graduating class, this ceremony is not an end, but rather the beginning of their commitment to take their rightful places as leaders in healthcare.
