October 19 marks World Breast Cancer Day. According to the Foundation group Spanish of research in Breast Cancer, GEICAM, 1 in 8 women in Spain can develop breast cancer and about 30% of cancers diagnosed in women originate in this area. In the world, as of 2021, it is the most diagnosed tumor. 

From the Institute of Science of the data and Artificial Intelligence (DATAI) has started a European project of research that applies the science of the data to improve therapies against this cancer subject . Rubén Armañanzas leads this initiative and explains what it consists of and how data is applied to predict which treatment patients will respond best to.
