School of Economics holds the Case Competition 2012

The winning team will represent the University of Navarra in international competitions.

Coinciding with the feast of its patron saint, St. Vincent Ferrer, the School of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Navarra held the annual internal Case Competition. work The 22 registered teams had the opportunity to put on internship the knowledge acquired and to strengthen a series of crucial competencies for their professional future such as analytical skills, decision making, teamwork, conflict resolution, creativity, leadership and communication.

To solve the case, the students spent three hours designing the strategy of a recently created business dedicated to the online sale of wine that has obtained funding from venture capital investment. The five finalist teams defended their proposal in English before a jury composed of professionals, directors of venture capital companies, investment managers of financial institutions, directors of business expansion and academic staff of the School.

In this edition, the overall winner was the team composed of Lidia Fernández (3rd International Degree in Management), Miriam Barbería (3rd International Degree in Management), Ian Christe (3rd International Degree in Management) and Francisco Planas (3rd International Degree in Economics). The team integrated by Jorge Gardeazabal, Rut Galar, Mª Isabel González and Patricia Feliú was recognized as 'Most Innovative Solution' and Lidia Fernández, as 'Best Individual Presenter'.

This activity is of international importance, since it serves to select the students who will represent School in the International Case Competitions to which it is invited this year. In previous years, the winning students have traveled to prestigious universities in New Zealand, Vancouver, Montreal, Los Angeles, Singapore, etc.
